If possible, give yourself plenty of time!
If possible, give yourself plenty of time!
One of the most important things to remember when planning to move your stuff into storage, is to start in time. Try not to rush through your packing or your moving. Other than the mental and physical discomfort, your goods might get damaged and spoil your self storage experience.
Upwards and forwards!
To get the most into your space place the large heavy items that you can stack upon at rear of space then work upwards and forwards with lighter, fragile items. The items you may want to get at place at front of space. Remember packing in professional storage cartons and marking what they contain will make the storing and packing quicker, safer, save you time and worry while maintaining the condition of the goods and making it easier to find items.

Thinking “Outside the Box”
Think creatively and you’ll make more of your space. Plan to use drawers as an extra box (they are especially good for fragile items) and you can use the inside of wardrobes to store boxes.
Organising yourself to save money
When organising your self storage unit, it’s worthwhile taking some time to plan exactly how to pack your items into the unit. Unit sizes are determined by price so you can be save money here by assessing what you have to store and planning to pack it in efficiently – a smaller and well-packed unit will be cheaper than a larger one that is badly organized.
